When we received news that our Investors in People accreditation had been upgraded to the Gold standard we were absolutely delighted.  The ‘We Invest In People’ gold accreditation is a three-year stamp of approval of GreenZone’s Head Office culture and work practices, which required us to undergo a rigorous assessment. Investors In People spent months reviewing our employee engagement, communication, and workplace culture, benchmarked against others in our industry and also all other IIP accredited organisations before giving us the Gold seal of approval.  

GreenZone was built to serve and protect our planet and people, so you can imagine how delighted we were by the assessment’s results which determined that 98.5% of our employees believe that “My organisation has a positive impact on society”, while 97% confirmed that “My organisation has clear values.” These stats are music to our ears, as we strive to unite people with the same common goal of wanting to give back and make a difference.

We work hard to ensure that our company policies cater to all, and that every individual in our business plays a vital and valuable role in bringing these policies and values to life. Our commitment to investing in our people makes receiving this accolade, that only 17% of over 50,000 organisations achieve, even more meaningful! 

At GreenZone, transparency is key. We strive for open lines of communication, support, and guidance between management and employee. Each staff member is made aware of the unique role they play and the value their work holds. By giving employees freedom to have ownership of their work, we seek to make them feel valued, independent, and help inspire their best performance. Whilst our strategic systems and IT infrastructures are designed to support staff and encourage proactivity, leadership, and initiative.  
 
We believe that our organisation begins and ends with people – after all, a happy workforce is a productive, loyal workforce. Most of us will spend around 80,000 hours at work in our lifetimes, and every minute counts. We firmly believe that the effects of cultivating a positive work culture reverberate beyond the walls of the organisation. Employees take their positivity into the wider world to contribute to a stronger, healthier and happier society.  

It’s for this reason we have developed a range of initiatives to help support and nurture our staff, their families, and their communities, including providing English lessons to those who want it, as well as giving employees with children under 5 access to the book gifting programme – Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. This incredible initiative inspires a love of reading by gifting our employee’s little ones with a high quality, age-appropriate book free of charge – every single month!
